What you need
- Coloured tinted paper or coloured card
- Felt-tip pens or crayons
And this is how it works
Cut a long strip from the tinted paper, around 3 cm wide and 30 cm long. This will be the body and the shell of the snail. You can also play around with various sizes to make fatter or thinner snails.
To make the feelers cut 2 thin strips, about 5 mm wide and 3 cm in length, they can also be a different colour to the body. Stick the feelers to the snail’s head. You can now draw a face for the snail or attach big eyes.
Now bend the snail’s head straight and roll up the body with the shell and feelers, as you can see on the image. You can now use your snail as a decoration or as a letter: simply write something on the shell before you roll it together. The recipient will certainly be delighted to receive your “snail mail”.
