Stocking
On St. Nicholas Day or on Christmas Eve, children hang stockings by the fireplace or by their bed so Santa Claus can fill them with small gifts or candy during the night. Often, families create their own very special Christmas stockings and write their names on them so Santa knows who gets each gift.
