20 years Mortimer English Club in Hattingen
In September, the Mortimer English Club in Hattingen celebrated a special anniversary. Silke Koch has been a Mortimer franchise partner for 20 years now and teaches pupils of all ages at her language school. A grand anniversary celebration was therefore held on 19 September. With perfect party weather, many pupils, former pupils and colleagues gathered to offer their congratulations, celebrate and enjoy themselves. Amongst others, the popular Kiepenkasper provided excellent entertainment for the guests.
Our managing director, Karola Scheer, made a point of congratulating Mrs. Koch in person. Alexa Rieman, illustrator of our beloved Morty and his friends, was also in attendance.
Mrs. Koch received a special honour from the British Royal Family: she received a letter from Buckingham Palace. Back in April, she had written to King Charles, expressing her deep affection for the Royal Family and the United Kingdom, and telling him about her own language school, where she is able to pass on her enthusiasm for the English language. She received a reply: His Majesty King Charles sent word that he thanks Mrs. Koch for her long-standing support and shares her joy in learning languages. He also sent his best wishes for her anniversary celebration.
The entire Mortimer team is delighted to join in these royal congratulations and wishes Ms Koch every success for the years to come!
